Everything you need to know about a responsive website?

A responsive website is one that automatically adapts to the resolution of the screen on which it’s displayed, in other words, it’s a website with an adaptive design.

We can therefore certify that a responsive design is nothing other than an adaptive design, the responsive website is designed to display correctly and efficiently on all screens it can be a tablet, a projector, a smartphone, or a computer screen. While it’s obvious that a website should be responsive, unfortunately some websites still fail to meet this all-important criterion.

How to recognize a responsive website?

The difference in screen sizes between PCs and Smartphones means that we need responsive websites, so a website that isn’t responsive won’t display properly on a Smartphone screen. Websites are generally designed with a fixed width of 1,000 pixels, compared with just 320 pixels for a Smartphone, for example. Results from Google Analytics confirm this, with a high bounce rate on the home page of non-responsive websites.

Ready-to-use theme design websites are generally all Responsive: the website design adapts to various screen resolutions, menus always remain legible and adapt to the size of your screen, all text content is readable without having to scroll under your fingers all the time, and the site will display perfectly, even on very low-resolution mobiles.

The significant advantages of a responsive website

A responsive design is a major asset for a website. In terms of ergonomics, the website will remain accessible on a low-resolution smartphone and retain the same relevance as on a desktop screen. Indeed, horizontal scrolling is not really practical for browsing a web page.

Is your web page mobile-friendly?

Generally speaking, there’s always confusion between a responsive website and a website whose width is fixed at 100%. In other words, the notion of responsive refers to a block layout that highlights the most relevant information on our website.
